Diane Frossard
Painter
Diane has always had a passion for art and horses. Her father, an avid horseman, introduced her to horses at an early age and her childhood was spent competing in equestrian events and training horses as well as painting and drawing. She initially worked as a geologist before turning to art full-time. She and her husband, along with their five horses, currently reside on a ranch in Tyler, Texas. Her horses are recurring models for her paintings and many of her plein air landscapes are scenes from the ranch. She is a Signature member of Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society as well as a Master Signature Member of Outdoor Painters Society.

Artist Statement
“Rather than any particular subject, my focus is on design, shapes, light effects and movement, in order to capture the poetry of a unique moment in time. Horses have always had a calming effect on me and that feeling is what I try to portray in my equine paintings. In a sometimes-stressful world, I hope my paintings evoke a sense of tranquility and beauty.”
