Don Bristow studied photography at Sacramento City College and is a member of Professional Photographers of America. He studied mathematics at California State University Sacramento, and began exploring mathematical art in 1982.
“Mathematics is a rich source of beautiful images. I explore solutions to mathematical equations and find virtual landscapes, seascapes, stars, galaxies and things never before seen.”
Doug
Carter
ARTIST
Oils & Acrylics on Canvas
Doug Carter is an artist working from his Tyler, TX studio. His fascination with nature fuels his passion for painting landscapes that evoke strong emotions through the play of light and atmosphere.
“The sun glowing through the trees on a trail through the woods. The light sparkling on the water of the lake or ocean. The sky filled with clouds and beautiful pastel colors and light. I paint with bold strokes to show confidence and stability in my work. These are the very reasons I became an artist.”

Aaron
Hinds
PAINTER
Oils and Acrylics on Canvas
Aaron Thomas Hinds carries on the tradition of biblical luminaries and historical masters, from across the ages, creating a truly unique style of oil painting.
“I felt like a fresh take on the life of this undeniably historical God-man, was needed. Jesus changed the world in only three years, without an army or a famous family name. I am honored to have a hand in creating contemporary depictions of the miraculous birth, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus the Christ.”
Joe
Hopps
PAINTER
Abstract Impressionism
Meet Joe Hopps, a California-born artist now rooted in Texas. With a background in crafting birdcastles, Joe has evolved into a full-time abstract expressionist painter. Self-taught and inspired by modern masters, he approaches each canvas with a sense of adventure, allowing intuition to guide his brushstrokes. Join Joe on his creative journey as he shares the joy of art-making and the beauty of unexpected surprises.
“Since January of 2023 I’ve been traveling a new road, one that includes canvas and paint and the joy of getting back to abstract expressionism. Yes! Yet another path with heart. And I will follow it to its end.”
Mileah
Lorenz
PENCIL ARTIST
Rising Museum Board
Since discovering a passion for graphite drawing in July 2022, she has honed her skills through hyperrealistic portraiture. In April 2023, Mileah expanded her artistic repertoire by embracing colored pencils, using this medium to transform everyday objects into striking large-scale compositions.
Her work reflects a dedication to capturing the extraordinary within the ordinary.
“It’s incredible how many visual details emerge in what seems like a mundane subject—details that only truly reveal themselves during the creative process. Working with pencil has been instrumental in helping me uncover the unexpected shapes and subtle hues that bring everyday objects to life.”
