Aaron Thomas Hinds

Painter, Author, Sculptor

Aaron T. Hinds, a native of Tyler Texas, is a professional artist, specializing in oil painting depicting Christ centered biblical scenes from both physical and metaphysical points of view . hindsartgallery.com. This on-going collection is entitled, “The Life That Changed The World.”

This body of work is an ethereal look at historically recorded eye witness accounts describing Jesus the Christ having control over all physical and supernatural elements. A super man was sent to earth by the creator God. The God of Abraham, sent a piece of himself, his son, known to us by his earthly name Jesus; to be the ultimate atonement for the souls of human kind. These mixed media works combine oil paint with water based pigments to creat organic shapes that many times, inform the artist as to what the painting will turn out to be. The competing pigments arrange themselves on the canvas, making shapes that causes the artist to “see/shown” certain bible stories take shape. Aaron hopes and believes that Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, uses this process to dictate the direction of each piece.

“At first I employed many techniques from strides made during the high points of art history. Forging them together the tell the story of Jesus. The Lord took that effort and allowed me to finally find an original style. I hope the Lord is using me to more accurately illustrate the extraordinary events recorded in that magical library in one binding, known as the Bible. These works are visual aids designed to help people to spread the gospel in their home.” -Aaron t. Hinds

Former works include watercolor/oil paintings of various bird species, in a series entitled “Ornithology,” inspired by John James Audubon.

Three dimensional wall mounted sculptures symbolizing the future of urban design, entitled “Exoskeletal Mega Cities.”

Favorite painters are, all the impressionists, Monet, Turner, Whistler, plus Pollock, Dali, Bosch, Bruegel, Audubon with Michael Angelio topping the list.
